Hijrah is understood as moving from one place to another. However, in the context of modern life, hijrah refers to leaving behind things or actions that are forbidden by Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala. This was touched upon in the special talk at the Hijrah Walkathon event, “Minal Masjid Ilal Masjid." Held in conjunction with Ilal Hijrah 1448, the programme was organised by the Mukim Gadong 'A' Consultative Council in collaboration with the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha Mosque, Kampung Rimba, and the Pengiran Muda Abdul Malik Mosque, Kampung Tungku. It took place at the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha Mosque, Kampung Rimba, 17th June early morning.

Present was Pengiran Mohammad Ameer Mubaarak bin Pengiran Haji Hashim, Acting Brunei-Muara District Officer. The talk titled 'Hijrah: Bukan Sekadar Berpindah Tetapi Berubah' was delivered by Awang Mohammad Shahmie bin Mohammad Sani. The event included a 2.9-kilometre walk, starting from the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Mosque, Kampung Rimba, and ended at the Pengiran Muda Abdul Malik Mosque, Kampung Tungku.
